Snow at Last

23 January 2008 Snowball Fun
After almost a month of exceptionally strange weather of subzero temperatures and no rain at all, snow finally started falling. JLSS was covered with a beautiful white sheet of snow. The scenery around us had an added touch of white splendor. Although roads were not closed by the snow, schools closed on Wednesday 23 January 2008 for the sake of those who live in steep hilly areas in Zahleh, Kab Elias, and other places. It was certainly wonderful news as the snow would supply us with the water we need next summer. Students were delighted with this unexpected holiday, and they played with snowballs and some built snow men. It was a nice refreshing change that brought smiles and happiness to everyone.
