LBMS Furniture for Three Boarding Homes

The Lutheran Board for Mission Support USA supported many projects in our school, among which are the new science lab, the new computer class, the new school Library (Ernest and Frida Stammeier Library). The latest donation included support for buying new furniture for two boys boarding homes.
During the last Christmas season, the furniture shop where we usually buy our furniture, LBMS Furniture George Matta and Sons, had a Christmas sale offering 25% reduction on all prices. It was a golden opportunity to get good furniture for our boarding homes. The initial plan was to buy furniture for two boarding homes, but with the Christmas sale we were able to buy furniture for the three boarding homes of the vocational students. The furniture was delivered right after the Christmas holiday. The boys were delighted to have such wonderful furniture thanks to LBMS.
For the last ten years the best furniture was at the girls boarding homes, and the difference in standards between the boys boarding homes and those of the girls were enormous with the girls having the better facilities. After seven years of repairs and modernization, and finally with the furniture replaced thanks to LBMS, the gap between the homes is bridged. The homes of the vocational boys now have the better furniture.
We still have two boys boarding homes that need their furniture replaced. We trust that very soon we will have upgraded all our boarding homes to a very high standard which makes them very pleasant places for our students. The aim was to bring those homes as close as possible to the resemblance of normal homes rather than army barracks. We have achieved that thanks to the support of our partners. We especially thank the Lutheran Board for Mission Support USA for the wonderful transformation of the three boarding homes.
